Duf Square Dancers Finland
DUF Square Dancers is a section of Dickursby Ungdomsförening r.f. (DUF).
Dickursby Ungdomsförening has many different activities: besides square dance there is also line dancing,
a choir and a theatre group. Dickursby Ungdomsförening was established in 1896, and is therefore one of the oldest,
still existing youth associations in Finland. The association owns has two premises in Vantaa, Helsinggård and Linda.
Helsinggård is during daytime occupied by a children's daycare center, but in the evenings and weekends the associations
own activities are taking place. The City of Vantaa has leased Linda to be used as a swedish speaking daycare center.

DUF Square Dancers started with square dancing in 1984 as the first square dance club in Finland.
The club's leaders are Hans and Kaj Wikholm. Today there are ca 65 active dancers in the club.
The club also has its own caller, Kaj Wikholm. Kaj is the first caller in Finland.
He started calling in 1987, and from 1989 he's been a member of SACT (Swedish Association ov Callers and Teachers).

DUF Square Dancers has arranged festivals by the name Vanda Square Dance Festival. There is also every
year in November a clubdance.
DUF Square Dancers dance from Mainstream to Advanced. Rehearsals are every Sunday between 1.30 pm and 7.00 pm
in Helsinggård (Kuninkaalantie 2, Tikkurila, 01300 Vantaa, Finland).
